From Kate Spade’s Sydney collection, the Francis satchel is a soft-shaped bag with subtle but gorgeous shine. The platinum metallic calfskin is white hot and the bag doesn’t go overboard on the details. Decorative ties are threaded through engraved nickel and 14-karat light gold rings and an almost invisible logo plate decorates the front. Sports cars and traveling with luggage don’t usually go together, and for good reason. Elegant, classy and sophisticated - that is what comes to mind when I look at this bag. Paired with a little black dress, it is perfect for an evening out. Designer Paul Smith aims to combine his very Englishness with a bit of the unexpected. In this bag, he gives a rather traditional shape a jolt with color and pattern that just barely misses being psychedelic. While perusing through Cole Haan’s site, I came across the Aerin Collection, their new collection for the Fall, which of course you can pre-order and receive by August 20th. What concerned me is that their Large Convertible Tote from the Aerin Collection (seen on the left) looks a lot like the Convertible Tote from their Paige Collection (seen on the right).
