Estee Lauder Goes After Mustang Men

Cosmetics and Fragrance

Autoblog shot us an e-mail about this fragrant little story, and frankly, we’re surprised this product didn’t come around earlier. Estee Lauder’s Aramis division has created a fragrance that mustang owners will no doubt want to keep in their glove boxes — Mustang, the new fragrance for men, set to launch in July.

The Ford Mustang joins the ranks of brands teaming with the fragrance designer for cross-promotion …

Prada Ombre Large Boston Bag, Handbag of the Day

Handbags

It may not be the most practical way to spend $1000, but at Luxist we are not about being practical - we are about luxury! And the Prada Ombre Large Boston Bag is not only super luxe but gorgeous as well. Made of pigskin, the ivory and dark tones are visually captivating while the minimalist design adds an air of mystery and elegance. And not to knock it, but it can be a refreshing change when a bag is not plastered with logos …

Tagua Sobre Wool and Croc Clutch, Handbag of the Day

Handbags

I like the purple croc and I like the hand-woven geometric print, but together they seem completely mismatched. Perhaps this is what the designer was going for, but to me the clutch looks like it was cobbled together from leftover purse parts. At least the purple satin interior seems to be on the right bag. $415.

Rebecca Minkoff Date Clutch, Handbag of the Day

Handbags

Date night means paring down the contents of your every day bag to fit into your smaller ‘date bag’. But which bag? The tiny clutch isn’t roomy enough for your makeup essentials and a large hobo might give your date the impression you are planning an overnighter. Here’s a nice compromise - a fold-over clutch that can be carried full size filled to the brim, or folded over with just the basics. The soft blue leather bag is simple, with a hint …

Lulu Guinness Tallulah Blue, Handbag of the Day

Handbags

I think Lulu Guinness’ designs are lovely and this vintage-inspired bag is no exception. The bag features exterior accessory pockets for your compact, coins, lipstick and comb. Although labeling the pockets is probably not necessary, I like the idea of putting them out there. The blue leather bag is lined in a neutral suede and has several slide pockets, including a cell-phone holder. Apparently I am not the only one who likes the bag - there is a currently a waiting list. Ј795.00.

Erva Leather Double Clutch, Handbag of the Day

Handbags

It’s a frame purse on one side and a fold over clutch on the other. But either way you look at it, it’s very shiny and bright and I generally don’t go for shiny and bright. However, I do like the soft shape and the wooden clasp on the frame. If you look closely, the metallic leather is actually two-toned - silver and bronze. Add to that the brass hardware and you’ve got a lot of metal going on. The interior is pretty - a white floral print on a silver-gray …

The $1.63 Million Diamond and Platinum Handbag

Handbags

So it’s one thing to spend hundreds on a designer handbag that’s sure to go out of style in a season or two, but millions? This diamond studded platinum handbag was on display recently in Tokyo by jewelry maker GinzaTanaka, and it looks like something Cinderella could have carried to the ball to coordinate with her beautiful glass slippers. Valued at approximately $1.63 million dollars, it boasts 2,182 diamonds totaling 208 carats and a fairly …

Francesco Biasia Look At Me Bucket Bag, Handbag of the Day

Handbags

Okay, a show of hands - who likes this bag? I’ll go first and state for the record that I think it’s a lovely combination of materials and I like the natural color. The drape of the reptile-embossed leather belt around the raffia fabric gives the bag an easy, casual look and the gold-tone hardware is just right. The interior is pretty as well, with a floral lining, a center zip divider and slip pockets. $145.60.

Despite the dark color, this is a happy looking tote. The bag is black canvas decorated with sparkly gold hearts and stars surrounding a large-printed LOVE. The other side of the bag has no embellishment and the leather handle has a subtle animal print, attached with gold-tone hardware. Are you feeling the love? $258.
