Bruno Frisoni Stiletto Patent Sandal

Shoes

Yow! (as my husband would say) these Stiletto Heels by Bruno Frisoni are sexy! And maybe part “lady of the night-ish” with its gold toned spiked heels. But I would totally try to make them reflect a sense of sex appeal rather than reflect a sense of accepting cash for services. Probably more appropriate for evening affairs, if worn during the day, these Frisoni’s Stiletto Sandals would certainly upgrade the typical jeans and cute top ensemble. Price: $595.

Betsey Johnson Jordan Shoes

Shoes

This has to be one of the more low-key designs by the notorious and outrageous Betsey Johnson. With the exception that they have a texture cork body, they are actually pretty normal looking shoes. Shoes that you could actually wear to work or for going out. The Jordan Pumps feature an open round toe with 4″ heels and a light padding for a hint of comfort. I especially like the three leather strips running across the vamp. Overall, …

Kate Spade Francis Satchel, Handbag of the Day

Handbags

From Kate Spade’s Sydney collection, the Francis satchel is a soft-shaped bag with subtle but gorgeous shine. The platinum metallic calfskin is white hot and the bag doesn’t go overboard on the details. Decorative ties are threaded through engraved nickel and 14-karat light gold rings and an almost invisible logo plate decorates the front. Lined with the signature larabee dots, the bag measure 9 1/2″ high by 16″ wide by 6″ deep. $625.

Ferrari Luggage by Schedoni

Handbags

Sports cars and traveling with luggage don’t usually go together, and for good reason. It’s a hassle (if not impossible) to fit any kind of baggage into most cars that are designed for performance and style at the expense of storage. But that’s not an issue for Ferrari owners, and hasn’t been since 1977 when Schedoni became the official supplier of made-to-measure leather luggage for Ferrari. The history of how the fitted luggage sets came to be for Ferrari by the Schedoni family is a long one, dating all the way back to 1880 and filled with family tradition.

Fendi Hologram B.Mix Bag, Handbag of the Day

Handbags

It is hard to describe this bag without making it sound like a mess: pink and blue beads criss-crossing strips of Fendi logo fabric, brown leather trim, silver-tone hardware and generous amounts of contrasting top-stitching all set against a transparent patterned vinyl. Regardless of how it sounds, I think the overall look is surprisingly pretty. It is from Fendi’s 2007/08 Autumn Winter collection and I suspect there will be no middle ground on …

Judith Leiber Pigtail Miniaudier, Handbag of the Day

Handbags

I am a handbag addict. I love to buy, collect, window shop for and write about handbags. And for the most part, I love all styles and for those that I am not in love with, I can at least have an appreciation for the design and effort that went behind creating it. But today, I am stumped and shocked and a bit confused with Judith Leiber’s Pigtail Miniaudier. I am definitely not in love with this cute little pig and I am desperately trying to appreciate the …

The World’s Most Expensive Handbags

Handbags

Here at Luxist I’m hardly the handbag expert (that’s Sandy and Marsha’s department) but when I saw this article I couldn’t help but chime in. I love a cute purse just as much as the next girl, but some of these are priced upwards of $100,000 and $200,000! Are they really worth that much? Maybe I don’t love purses as much as the next girl…

Personal feelings of value aside, several of the creations on this list of the world’s most extravagant …

Tory Burch Reva Clutch, Handbag of the Day

Handbags

Elegant, classy and sophisticated - that is what comes to mind when I look at this bag. Paired with a little black dress, it is perfect for an evening out. The bag features lustrous black leather adorned only by a large, gold-tone logo plaque. The strap is just a little funky with a geometric chain link that manages to look delicate and sturdy at the same time. A simple magnetic closure seals the deal. Also available in coconut brown. $295.

Marc Jacobs Softy Faridah Pocket Hobo, Handbag of the Day

Handbags

I don’t know what a softy faridah is, but I like it. This hobo is available in cream with a contrasting brown trim, but I like the black and red. I do know what pockets are and this bag four - two buckle pockets on the front and two zippers on each side, both with gold-tone hardware. The top is open, but at 14 1/2 inches high, I think it is fairly spill-proof. $398.

Paul Smith Violet, Handbag of the Day

Handbags

Designer Paul Smith aims to combine his very Englishness with a bit of the unexpected. In this bag, he gives a rather traditional shape a jolt with color and pattern that just barely misses being psychedelic. It’s the subtler hues that give this bag a calmer feel and I think the look is charming. The swirl pattern is printed on a soft Italian leather, accented with brushed gold-tone hardware. It has a large zip top closure under two buckle straps …
