Primp Breast Cancer Awareness Crew Tee

As you all know October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The month is coming to a close, but you can always give money to the cause throughout the year. I am an advocate of simply giving money to The National Breast Cancer Organization, but I have found that I am more apt to buy certain products that have proceeds that are donated to it also. The Primp Breast Cancer Awareness Crew Tee features pink ribbons throughout the soft tee. Near the shoulder and hem a ribbion is adorned with pink rhinestones. Primp clothing is one of my favorite lines (I’m a big fan of the bunnie vest with a hoodie) because the material is so soft and the designs are casual and cute. This tee has 3/4″ banding, short sleeves, and is 50% cotton and 50% polyester. Best news is you are helping to fight breast cancer when you buy this shirt, because like I mentioned 50% of the proceeds will be donated to National Breast Cancer Organization. Buy one of these cute and comfy tees at ShopBop for $68.

Rene Caovilla Jeweled Lace Sandals

Like I mentioned earlier, I attended a wedding in Indianapolis this weekend. Yesterday, Vlad and I met two good friends for lunch before heading back. Of course, I cunningly picked to eat at Cheesecake Factory which was directly next to Saks Fifth Ave (and also perfectly next to our Sheraton Hotel). It was all coincidence, promise

While the men waited for our table, my new and oh-so-similar friend Danelle and I hopped over to Saks. I just so happened to go in the door that lead us right to bags and shoes. Surprisingly, there was quite a nice Chanel collection of bags and a pretty decent sized Louis Vuitton section. But Danelle and I made our way to the shoe section to find some foot candy. Right there in front of us stood one of the most beautiful pair of shoes either of us has ever seen. The Rene Caovilla Jeweled Lace Sandals manifest their beauty in elegant lace with metallic threading. Also, there is plush but barely there haircalf lining, a jeweled vamp ornament over the front, 3ВЅ” heel, and a slingback with buckle closure. Even though the shoes are special order only, the 6.5 that Saks had fit Danelle nearly perfectly. I kept pushing her to buy them, but they weren’t a perfect fit and the price tag was incredible. When we turned the shoes over, I was wishing and hoping the messily written 8 was a 3. But the 8 was an 8, and these shoes can make your feet oh so sexy for $815 via Saks. Now, if only they had a 9.5.

UGG Australia Patchwork Classic Boots

Hi, my name is Megs and I own a (few) pair of UGGS. I do it because they are warm and I have NEVER paired them with a skirt in the summer…. yet I am still embarrassed of them at times.

I felt like I needed to stick up for myself because I know what a fashion don’t UGGS can be. And this pair, makes me gag in my mouth a little bit. The UGG Australia Patchwork Classic Boots are sure to keep me from talking to you even if you are McDreamy. These round-toe multi color suede boots will surely cause the crowd to cringe and your fashionable friends to disown you. Please, no. Via Saks for $140.

Vuitton Speedy - How NOT To

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. To start of the week fresh, I would like to share some Vuitton’ish eye candy gone awfully wrong. A truely sharp thorn in each LV lover’s eye.

I can’t imagine what boss would ask her employee to ruin a perfectly good Speedy. Yikes. Via tPF via flickr.

Barneys New York Leather Compass

If any of you have been wondering why I have been not around much lately, it is because I have been moving. Seriously, moving so much is a pain in the rear. After a wonderful summer in NYC, I packed up and moved back to the Mid West. Because I am a fashionista myself, I had 4 bags of luggage; 2 of them weighing nearly 100 pounds each. Ha. Once I arrived back in Ohio, it was time for another move. Vlad and I thought we did not need a moving company. Because of my bad shoulder I really was no help, which left Vlad carrying all of my stuff up 3 flights of stairs. Now he is bruised, I am annoyed, and I truly do not want to unpack. But once I do, I have to take a picture of my new closet! It is not the closet of my dreams (my dreams truly are unrealistic though at times

) but it is a closet to melt over! It is huge and roomy and just makes me smile REALLY big. So with all of the moving I have had to neglect the blog and forum for a bit. But I have a lovely vacation coming up and we have many things in store for you all. In the mean time, if any of you are thinking of moving, you may need a compass. Honestly, I don’t know of anyone that uses once since we have GPS now, but it is worth a shot. For stylish leather covered compass with gold details, hit up Barneys New York. The Barneys New York Leather Compass measures 2×2 and is available for $75 through Barneys in green, orange, and tan.

Jack Spade Bridle Leather Bag

Just 10 years ago the married couple, Kate and Jack, made their last name a household name; Spade. The Jack Spade approach offers men items that represent both honest, thoughtful design and practical purpose. For functionality the men of today need a messenger bag. You all know that the man of the Purse Blog and Forum just indulged in a Louis Vuitton Messenger

If you are opting for a clean and sleek look, the Jack Spade Bridle Leather Bags are perfect for the everyday man. There is the day bag or the field bag to choose from which both have an adjustable shoulder strap, two interior pockets, and an exterior back pocket. The day bag measures 13″ x 4.5″ x 10″ while the field bag measures 15″ x 6″ x 12″. If you are attempting to fit your 17″ MacBook Pro in there, it won’t happen (haha Vlad!) but if you only have a 15″ MacBook Pro like myself, the field bag is just right. The messenger style bags are available in black, chocolate, orange, blue, and red. The day bag goes for $495 while the field bag goes for $525 via Jack Spade.

Gucci Baby Carrier In Action

When I first laid eyes on the Gucci Baby Carrier, I was a fan but still a tad skeptical. It did seem a bit over the top. But now that I saw the proud new mommie, Gwen Stefani, carrying her adorable little Kingston in one, I am in love! ($790 via Gucci)

And by the way, before you start complaining about us covering celebrities without bags, I insist that you can see 1/34th of Gwyneth’s bag in the picture above. Now that I’ve preemtively shut up the haters, I gotta say that her son Moses is absolutely adorable.

Beautiful Pieces

The only reason I am not a huge jewelry and shoe person is because with my handbag addiction I can not afford to be one. But if I could be one, I would definitely splurge on some beauties. First I would go for a perfectly feminine ring. The KC Thompson Mother-of-Pearl Floral Ring is a gold ring with a Mother-of-pearl flower and diamond accents. Absolutely stunning and absolutely expensive. Available via Bergdorf Goodman for $1495.

As far as a necklace goes, I would want one that was meaningful and lay near and dear to my heart. I can’t tell you all why (because that would break the secret and good luck) but butterflies mean a lot to me. So for a necklace that lies so close to my heart, I would love to splurge on the Forzieri Butterfly White Gold Diamond Necklace is a graceful 18K white gold butterfly that is adorned with channel-set natural diamonds. Because butterflies symbolize so much for me, I should thank Forzieri for the affordable price. I should indulge a bit and buy it via Forzieri for $230.

Louis Vuitton Car Charm

Charms are fun, they’re an easy way to give the boring ol’ bag a new touch, refresh it with some shiny bling, you know what I mean. Louis Vuitton is not far when it comes to lil cute bag charms, either. Always on top of the game… that’s LV for ya. The reason why I love this Louis Vuitton Car Charm so much is because it reminds of the first car my mom got after our family emigrated to Germany. It must have been around 1985/6, money was low and while my dad was pimping in a rusty Fiat, my mom drove me around in a baby-blue Citroen 2CV. The 2CV is the car that the charm is modelled after - one of the greatest and most popular french cars ever built. Though terribly unsafe (the doors weren’t any thicker than its 25 page user’s manual) and awfully slow (the 2CV’s popular nickname was Deux Chevaux - Two Horses, you get the picture), it had an unmatched charme and was loved by millions. Ours had a manually folding roof that leaked in the rain, and breaking into it could be done with a fork… which happened 8 times in the 3 years we had it. Good times. This 18 karat 2CV in solid gold and with two sapphires acting as headlights does cost about 10x as much as our 2CV was worth back then ($2,580), and I do think that you have to drive a little more than two horses in order to be willing to spend that amount on a freakin’ bag charm… it was still worth the mention, just because it brought back all the sweet memories.
