Dior Metallic Cannage Shoulder Bag

You must forgive my brain today, because it truly can not process one ounce of information. Imagine waking up to a jack hammer and chizzle of sorts; well that is my morning here, in the house of renovations. Sure the Ipe wood flooring that is going down looks gorgeous, but this noise for the new entry way is just horrendous and sends chills up and down my spine. Hence I am off to shop in just a bit. How about a beautiful metallic bag? The simple shoulder straps woven through grommets and quilted gold lambskin makes the Dior Metallic Cannage Shoulder Bag very appealing. The Cannage line from Christian Dior has made a big splash and it is easy to see why. There is a signature “d” charm that hangs from the front center flap, an open top, and inside pockets. Lamskin leather is known to be soft and squishy, which is plus of this bag. I am not head over heels, but it is quite a pretty bag. Via eLuxury for $1795.

Jessica Simpson My Dior Medium Handbag

The gal that John Mayer wants is a down to Earth, small town, fairy-tale sorta gal. Is that Jessica Simpson? Well, the whole MTV reality show, 3 year marriage, chicken-of-the-sea, bleach blond may not fit the description but she is sure trying. From platinum, to a few low-lights, to all over rich brunette, Jessica Simpson is yet again making a transformation in front of our eyes. We are having a hard time deciphering whether or not this is a wig, but I really like the dark tresses on her. Even better, Jess put together a great outfit; black pants, black tank, a black velvet jacket, and of course a black Christian Dior My Dior Medium Handbag. Somehow she does not look goth, rather sexy, and I love this bag on her. The My Dior handbag line is making a splash because of its simple body, frame tops, braid handle detailing, and the cute silver metal top accessory. I dig both the bag and Jess. Buy the bag via eLuxury for $1380.

Dior My Dior Tote

A sure way to make my blue eyes stand out is to wear blue. A baby blue shirt makes my eyes look completely different than a shocking ocean blue. This exact hue of blue on the Dior My Dior Tote would do wonders for my eyes, and all you other blue eyed gals out there. Stunning blue leather and silver tone hardware is a stunner. I, of course, was looking out for myself and my blue eyes, but this color would look amazing on anyone in my opinion. A frame top, top handles, gathered front, and logo bit, finish off this hit bag. The color is smashing; pre-order yours through Bergdorf Goodman for $1790.

Dior My Dior Large Pockets Handbag

There has not been a huge amount of talk on Dior handbags around here recently. But the new My Dior line resembles the Dior Detective line which was a major hit. Simple, large, and structured the Dior My Dior Large Pockets Handbag is designed with soft grained leather, features a frame top, sports antiqued silver metal hardware, and measures 17″ x 14″ x 4.5″. While the bag as a whole is simple, there are some added touches including rolled leather handles with braid detailing and two front flap pockets with buckle details. On the inside there is soft leather lining with 3 inner pockets. Is the My Dior line and this handbag a yay or nay for you? Buy it through eLuxury for $1990.

Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2007

When it comes to Jean Paul Gaultier, you never know what he may have up his sleeve. Celebrating his 30 year anniversary he made his prescense more than known on the runway of Paris. The Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2007 close up collection was fun and quirky and totally over-the-top. I will leave it to Style to discuss what happend on the runway 3 days ago.

This is Jean Paul Gaultier’s 30th anniversary year, and after Janet Jackson and other tardy celebs had finally taken their seats, he started a celebration that will continue at a big fГЄte Saturday night by recapping his greatest hits. He began with a man’s motorcycle jacket with “76″ and the French flag painted on the back, breezed past the bustier dresses with cone-shaped busts that Madonna made famous, and finished with a trompe l’oeil sheath with just one built-in jacket lapel. Together, the 30-plus pieces-some of which looked broken-in, like his friends had just pulled them from their closets-showcased Gaultier’s incomparable visual wit.

It’s a gift he made liberal use of in the new clothes he showed for next spring. With Jane Fonda on the loudspeakers asking, “Are you ready to work out?” the curtains parted to reveal models sweating away on glittery gym machines. But his sport references went beyond jokey visors, wristbands, and tube socks with heels. Satin baseball jackets came in countless color variations, some with Japanese embroidery, others with “30″ emblazoned on their backs, and yet more rendered in sequined mesh. For day, these might be paired with leggings striped at the side or shorts; for night, piping was replaced by seams of crystals and cutouts at the shoulders and back. Pushing the concept to the limit, he closed with a halter gown cut to reveal a bikini top underneath, veiled by a sheer warm-up jacket.

Christian Dior Spring 2007

John Galliano toned it down in Paris with the Christian Dior Spring 2007 Collection. While his line was nothing flashy, the simplicity and clean lines worked for me. Sometimes it is nice to look at something that is not too noisy or busy. The Dior Handbags were “gimmick-free chain-handled handbags” that sported the same shape but different materials and colors. Overall, this line makes my life a bit easier and makes it look easy to be fashionable. {via Style}

While the hair styles fit the feel of the collection, I must say that I would not smile if I was wearing this sort of boyish up-do either.

Brooke Burke Isabella Fiore Shirr Honor Carina Large Hobo

Even sexy people have their not so sexy moments. Brooke Burke has graced the cover of many magazines nearly nude but sometimes she wants to be like the rest of us; you know, stick out her tongue at her daughter. This picture cracks me up but the other part of the picture I zoomed in on was the bag. Brooke Burke’s Isabella Fiore Shirr Honor Carina Large Hobo was placed on the dirty table surrounded by food. Food stains cream bags! This Fiore Hobo is made with shirred creame leather to give it that unique texture look. The bag is now marked down via Adasa for $625.

Roberto Cavalli Animal Print Bracelet Bag

The style tip of the day is: wear animal prints this season but never mix match animal prints. If you wear an animal print dress, pair it with simple heels. If you opt for an animal print bag, then steer clear of other prints on your clothing. It sounds like I am stating the obvious, but some folks need some fashion guidance (no need to listen to me though really). Roberto Cavalli has combined jewelry with handbags to make the ultimate chic evening bag. Seriously, this bag could not get any hotter if it tried to. The Roberto Cavalli Animal Print Bracelet Bag is a gold and brown leopard print clutch bag with a gold serpent bracelet as handle. We do live in a fast paced world, but I am pretty certain I have not seen a clutch like this yet. The handle is a bracelet which takes care of 2 accessories at once. Seriously who would not like to kill two birds with one stone? This Cavalli number has gold leather piping trim and a spring clasp fastening to close the bracelet. I am seriously and totally digging this bag. Be super nice and donate this bag to me: via Net-A-Porter for $840.

Dior Cannage Slouch Boot

Today I decided it was time to try on boots. We all see boots on the legs of models, celebs, and in the magazines. While I am like every other woman, I still think I am in ok shape (minus the love-handles and UTF - upper thigh fat). One aspect of my body I have always loved is my small hands and feet. Granted my feet are a whopping size 10, but they are petite. Yes, it is an oxymoron, but I swear my feet are petite 10’s. So today I had a total fat calf day. I have never had a fat calf day until today trying on boots. I tried on a pair that was loose on my ankle and upon zipping them closed I caught part of my calf fat in them. Nevertheless today was not a great shopping day for me and I never thought that would happen while shoe shopping. Either way I am head over heels in love with the Dior Cannage Slouch Boot. These sexy boots are made of quilted grained leather with tonal cannage pattern embroidery. I am a huge fan of the round toe (being size 10 makes most shoes look incredibly long and ridiculous- but not round toe!). The details to these boots add a subtle touch: the ankle strap with aged brass D charm and loops at the top. The boots are finished off with leather lining, sole, and insole. Size wise, the heel is a bit tall for me (3.5″ stiletto heel) but I am still in love with these boots. If I find these boots and try them on and they do not fit over my new calf fat, I will tentatively decide on needing calf lipo. Buy these via eLuxury for $995.

Henry Beguelin Star Tote

I have never talked about Henry Beguelin here, but today I shall. While browsing the Neiman Marcus website I came across a handbag by this designer. Upon researching the brand a little, I learned in the early 80’s this brand was born by a group of friends creating belts and bags out of natural cowhide and recycled materials on the island of Elba. Now if you are not familiar with Elba, it is a beautiful island off of Italy (the kind of place you dream to go). There Henry Beguelin was born and today I bring you the Henry Beguelin Star Tote. This tote is roomy and emanates the idea of practicality using lush natural dark brown cowhide. Back leather trim lines the outside of the bag along with silver metal hardware and top handles with a shoulder strap. The shoulder strap is really great (especially if you are on an across body bag fix like I am). The horn closure and keeper adds detail to the bag. Finishing the bag off is the signature hand-stitched stick figure on front, which is so tiny on the bag but really adds a cute touch. Buy the bag via Neiman Marcus for $1195 and tell me if you think this new designer is a Yay or Nay.
