Fendi & Moncler Spy Handbag

The Fendi Spy Handbag has been arm candy hit since it’s arrival, being seen on A-list celebs, fashionistas world wide, and me of course

. Recently Fendi paired with super luxe French skiwear company Moncler to create a new Spy bag. The Fendi & Moncler Spy Handbag has been labeled the ’ski jacket bag’ and is available in fire-engine red, emerald green and black. Designed from water-resistant nylon and filled with top-quality down, this bag looks more like plastic to me than a hit design. But as supply and demand goes, with only 500 of these bags being produced, you may hope for a Holiday miracle to track one of these high demand low supply bags down at Fendi stores, Barneys and Sak’s Fifth Avenue’s two licensed Fendi boutiques, in Manhattan and Troy, Michigan. Buy it via Barney’s online for $2,100 while supplies last.

Fendi Zucca Leather Boston Bag with Palazzo Print

The Holiday season is now officially upon us (oh yea, decorations are up around my house!) and gold handbags are all the rage. If you are not as keen on buying a completely gold bag, opt for a bag with gold details. A new hot bag is the Fendi Zucca Leather Boston Bag with Palazzo Print. The golden metallic palazzo print is a hit for me, but the combination of it placed on top of the Zucca print does not make me love the bag. The combination reminds me of 3-D books; you remember crossing your eyes and staring at the pictures. Yet the representation of the Palazzo print pays tribute to the neo-classical architecture of Fendi’s Palazzo flagship store. Shape wise there is a Louis Vuitton Speedy vibe, measuring 9.75″ x 9.5″ x 4.25″. Golden metallic leather pull tab and leather handles cap off this Fendi number. I have heard this bag is hot but I am not feeling it, just too busy for me and the Palazzo tribute is offset by Zucca print. Prove me wrong and tell me how hot the bag truly is. Buy it through eLuxury for $845.

Fendi Black and Silver Canvas B Bag

Looks like a re-post from 2 days ago, I know. I did not lose my mind quite yet, but I am wondering your thoughts on this color combination? Would you party with this bag to bring in the year 2007? This Fendi Black and Silver Canvas B Bag is hard to miss with its black canvas body featuring silver leather trim. For the simple reason that I am not flossing with Benjamin Franklin’s, this bag will never find its way into my closet. So would you buy this handbag, and if so, where would you wear it? We want to hear your opinion!

Via Net-A-Porter for $1580.

Fendi Canvas B Bag

Not all purse lovers are college football fans, but I am sure many of your significant others appreciate it. This past weekend Vlad and I attended what was touted as the college football rivalry and game of the century, the Ohio State vs. Michigan game. Both Vlad and I met through Ohio State athletics while we were students there and will both love Ohio State until the end of time. For an early Christmas present I managed to find Vlad and I amazing tickets to the game. So this past weekend we were busy watching our team clobber Michigan. We even stormed the field after the game. If you looked on TV at the swarm of Scarlet and Gray (mostly scarlet) we were 2 of the people out there. I carried my Louis Vuitton Damier Speedy with me to the game and realized that to be a true Ohio State fan I need a handbag with team colors. Granted this bag is no where near my usual radar (ironically enough because of the color scheme), it is a viable bag option to carry when cheering on Ohio State.

The Fendi Canvas B Bag is made with natural canvas body and red patent leather on the front buckles, shoulder straps, and outlining. The huge contrast is colors is a bit much for my typical palette, but for Ohio State, this bag has colors that work out well. There is a clasp fastening underneath the front flap closure. Along with the shoulder panels are brass chain handles. Many would think this bag is a tad expensive merely to show school spirit, but if you attended a school like ours, you would understand (and this may be one of the only times your SO will get you

). Buy it via Net-a-porter for $1430.

Fendi Metallic Mini B Bag

My lovely organic lunch just nearly came out of my mouth. Karl Lagerfeld made a blunder when he designed the all metallic gold or silver Fendi Metallic Mini B Bag from the Cruise Collection. This bag is so deliriously hideous that I am positive the brain fart Mr. Lagerfeld had while designing this was ginormous. This fug bag features floral embroidered buckles and velvet piping along with either awful gold or silver luminous snake embossed metallic leather. The chain link handles are removable. All 51вЃ„2″H X 8″L X 11вЃ„4″W inches of this bag makes me gag. I can’t decide which is worst- the silver or gold. Gag me for $1390 via Saks.

Missoni Spring 2007

Fashion Week in Milan continues and the Missoni graced the runway with its memorable prints and sleek style. As described by Style.com, Missioni “reinterpreting and updating her own vocabulary, rather than grasping at flighty notions of retro futurism”. While the big bags with their exotic skin and colors makes me happy, the big shoes make me cringe. I would love to wear huge heels and platforms, but at 5′10 (really pushing 5′11) it just makes me too tall (and too tall for Vlad- BOO!) So I will stick to my lower heels and envy all of you that get to wear the big heels.

Fendi Spring 2007

When it comes to Karl Lagerfeld, be ready to expect anything. Sticking to black, navy, white, silver, and hot pink, Lagerfeld gave the Fendi Spring 2007 line a futuristic approach with his implementing high-tech materials. On the runway materials like black silicone, silver leather that was laser-cut to resemble athletic mesh, and holographic paillettes were used to make a striking appearance for Fendi this spring. Lagerfeld said, “I wanted to use the most traditional craftsmanship with the most futuristic of fabrics”. While I am not into Matrix-esque fashion (like Gucci Spring 2007), Lagerfeld has kept his designs on the money using a futuristic touch on classic looks and colors. {via Style}

Looks to me like the Fendi models have been hanging out with the Prada models a bit too much

Jessica Simpson’s Prada Napa Gauffre Frame Bag

For the past few years, Prada has not designed any bags that I really fell for. The Robot Tricks were fun, but the price tags that came with those key fobs made me laugh (while also not shelling out the money). The Fall Prada bags are overly hot and most everyone wants to get their hands on one. Jessica Simpson may be letting herself go (creepy makeup, weird made-up relationships, etc) but she still carries killer handbags. One of my favorite bags from the Prada line right now is the Prada Napa Gauffre Frame Bag which pairs pleated leather with a frame closure to make this runway bag hot. Check out more Prada bags via your local Prada boutique, Bergdorf Goodman, or Neiman Marcus.

On a side note, were you all aware that Jessica and Pappa Joe are creating a restaurant chain similar to Hooters, called Daisy Dukes. The word is the waitresses will dress similar to how Jess dressed when she played in the Dukes of Hazzard movie. Pappa Joe likes this idea. {via Celebrity Rumors}

Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Karung and Tortoiseshell Bag

While simple handbags are easy to match with many outfits, quirky and decorative handbags appeal to my imaginative side. I fell in love with Bottega Veneta last summer when I had the chance to try on and feel the quality of the bags while in Germany. Since then I drool over Bottega Veneta bags, literally. So finding this lush exotic looking BV makes my heart skip a beat. The Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Karung and Tortoiseshell Bag is a limited edition intecciato karung leather bag accented with faux (yahoo!!) tortoiseshell beads and fastening. The inside is lined in pale blue suede along with camel leather. Although the tortoiseshell is faux, this bags price coincides with the exotic being real: available through Net-A-Porter for $4100.

Side note: This bag totally may not be loved by all. I just showed Vlad and his immediate reaction was “Oooh that is pretty hideous!” Ha. So, it really is different strokes for different folks!!!
