Botkier Bianca Large Satchel

For me certain brands have their own signature bag. I always feel like having that signature bag can keep all of us from seeing their other bags, just because of the mere fact that we are really only aware of ‘their’ bag. As for Botkier, I felt like I kept seeing the same bag modeled again and again. But when I ran into this new look, I found it refreshing. The Botkier Bianca Large Satchel is intricately crafted from soft Italian cowhide. To add some dimension, the bag shows off two curved front pouch pockets that close with signature long tassel pulls. Straying away from a very structured look, this bag gives off a slouchy appearance which I love. Accenting the satchel is polished gold metal hardware. The shoulder straps are made from rolled leather with studs. Brining it all together is the front flap with a Botkier twist-lock closure. While this bag does not scream out for attention, it did lure me in. The satchel is available in either black or dusty gold, and if I had my way I would opt for the dusty gold. Buy it through eLuxury for $695.

Moni Moni “Splendor” Satchel

When featuring a totally new designer, I need to have all of you help me out and let me know if the designer thus far is a Yay or a Nay. For today we have a bag from the line Moni Moni by Cinzia Moniaci. Starting off with a cool name is always a plus. The bag I want you all to take a gander at looks incredibly soft to me. The Moni Moni “Splendor” Satchel is made from Carmel colored dyewash Italian leather and includes a detachable shoulder strap. I am not sure how long the brand has been around, but the Adasa site says that this bag is hard-to-get. This is a big bag, measures 15.5″x11.5″, and gets a Yay from me for the supple and simple look. What do you have to say about it- Yay or Nay? Buy this satchel through Adasa for $375.

Be&D Large Ava Nubuck Satchel

Blue happens to be one of my favorite colors. Even in pre-school, I remember painting only blue pictures- although the pictures showed no versatility they did show off my favorite color. I think that every girl should own a bag in her favorite color, whatever that may be. I have been on the search for the perfect blue/teal bag. In the running is the Be&D Large Ava Nubuck Satchel in blue slate. From their beginning, I have been a fan of Be&D. This satchel shows off a version of my favorite color nubuck with light blue pebble-grain leather trim. Even though this bag is not taken over by the signature studs, tarnished silver metal hardware and studs are still used to give this bag a boost of attitude. Along with adjustable buckled shoulder straps, there are also three studded straps at the base of the bag. When it comes to blue bags, this is a viable option for me. Buy it through Bergdorf Goodman for $995.

Dolce & Gabbana Eelskin Satchel

No Noriko, it is not just you that doesn’t have an eelskin bag. I would venture to say that most people can’t say that they own an eelskin bag. But if you are in the market to get one, there is a bag that Noriko has found that you may very well like. The Dolce & Gabbana Eelskin Satchel is quite the audacious bag. Designed from exotic camel eelskin and accented with golden metal hardware, this bag is not for the conservative lady (or gent of course!). The bag closes with a top flap and a logo lock. While very simple looking from a glance, this bag is designed to grab attention from those around you. I love how the eelskin comes together in a nearly striped pattern. That crazy eel does not come cheap though; buy this bag via Neiman Marcus for $1875.

Cole Haan Metallic Pocket Satchel

Who has heard enough about Silverados already? I am getting the feeling that some of you might be over it, but I certainly am not. I just love em. But let’s face it, not all of us can afford them. So why not get a cute bag that somewhat resembles what you truly lust for? Why not right? Cole Haan may make you breathe a little easier with a bag that costs about a grand less than the Silverado, but shares the same shape and feel. The Cole Haan Metallic Pocket Satchel is crafted from supple, pebbled leather and shows a little funk with its custom metal rings and hardware detailing. Don’t some of you get the Silverado feel from this bag with its two outside pockets at the sides, double shoulder straps, and the contrast stitching? I can’t not see the resemblance. The inside is lined and the satchel measures 51ГўВЃ„2″H X 15″L X 5″W. I like this bag and it will not involve you needing to be put on a global waiting list and will not make you cry too many tears of brokeness. Buy it through Saks for $285.

Bulga Leather Satchel

There has been some interest shown in the new Bulga bag over on the forum (if you haven’t joined yet, you still have time! It’s free and easy and lots of fun!!). Before I could find my way to posting about the bag, some lovely members on the forum began discussing it. I had been eyeballing the bag for a little while, so it is about time I let all of you in on Bulga’s new little secret. The gorgeous Bulga Leather Satchel may leave many of you swooning and some of you adding the bag to your wish list (it’s on mine, but my wish list is unrealistically long). Designed from beautiful oyster colored leather and accented with golden hardware, this bag is an attention grabber. My favorite part is the shape. New and different shapes always make you look twice- and this bag has made me look about 124 times already. The body of the bag is pieced; the outer panel is rushed with studs, while the inner panel shows off topstitched detail. There are top handles with rings that attach to the body of the bag and a zip-around top closure with a cute tassel pull tab. This is a bag that I suspect will cause quite a stir with all of you handbag lovers. Jump on the pre-order list via Neiman Marcus for $595. (Not too awful of a price and the bag is expected to ship by 11/22/2005

Maschera Petrol Green Suede & Black Leather Satchel

For an inexplicable reason, some bags just get me good. It’s unfortunate that so many bags get me, because clearly I cannot afford them all, but some just hit me in the right spot. The Maschera Petrol Green Suede & Black Leather Satchel is being added to the extraordinarily long list of bags that I like. Made of soft and rich green suede and showing off its sexy shaped body, this satchel is cunningly flirty. ‘Flirty?’ you ask. Why, yes. Don’t tell me the mix of green suede with black leather with silvertone metal studs and horsebit details is not flirty in any way! The leather mixes itself in quite nicely and leads up to the double leather handles (which have a 6.7″ drop). Once you open the top snap closure, you will find black fabric lining and 2 inside pockets. If you are a lover of dimensions, which I know some of you are, you can’t go wrong with the most precise numbers out there. Not just measured to the tenth, but to the hundredths. Who does anything that precise nowadays?! Final size is: width 17.72″, height 10.24″, and depth 4.72″. If you like the bag like I do, you can buy it through Forzieri for $235.

Leslie Newton Royal Suede Saddle Bag

Reason # 1,576,295,095,324,096 why I should listen to Vlad and continuously save my work…. because sometimes my computer decides to play games and delete my posts- because a kick in the ass is fun for this machine. Great. Never fear, I will not leave out this beauty of a bag and great designer. Let me introduce you all to Leslie Newton. Michael Kors “Astor” Large Satchel

I’m not sure if I could have said this better myself… Sadaf said, “In these times it is humbling to see celebrities like Heidi Klum carrying a under $300 bag from Michael by Michael Kors (okay, barely under $300 but at least you don’t need to be on a waiting list to get the bag). She had the color “leather luggage” and was using it as a combo diaper bag. Cute bag don’t you think?” I do love when bags are being carried because they are beautiful and versatile and not just because a celeb is carrying them. I think many of you will agree with this. The Michael Kors “Astor” Large Satchel is a beautiful bag fit for a star (with the not too shabby price tag). If you like to carry lots of your necessities (or not-so-necessities), this large satchel can help you tote your needs around town. Made of soft leather with beautifully seamed detail and nickel stud detail, Michael Kors brought in beauty with functionality. Some other features include a top two-way zip closure, and inside pockets; including inside zip, pouch and cell phone pockets. The dimensions are 14″ W x 10″ H x 5″ D, which makes this bag a pretty nice size. If any of you love this handbag just like Sadaf, head over to Macy*s and nab it for $298.

Violette Nozieres Banana Adele

It’s time for Viewer’s Choice Mundays! While Megs is a little inhibited (taken that her wireless internet connection went down the drain last night), I’ll be plugging the VCM delight in a trimmed down version (I am not sure about the submissions she got via email). Time to go B-A-N-A-N-A-S!

Behind the odd name Violette Nozieres Banana Adele hides a bag that does not need to hide. Our reader chemlex recently found herself indulged in Violette Nozieres handbags and decided to share the love with us. While I don’t know a thing about Violette Nozieres, fact remains that they make “day into evening” bags that allow one to carry enough neccessities during the day, but still look glamorous during the night time. How much I love flexibility and versatility. This particular bag is an east/west satchel handbag made of vacchetta leather with Italian crackle metallic lambskin trim. It sports dual shoulder straps and an antique brass chain and hardware, whose bead and stone decor consists of natural amethysts, citrines, new jade, agate, riverstones, amazonites and dyed shells. Fancy! The bag measures 17 1/2″ wide x 4 1/2″ deep x 7 3/4″ high and is now on sale (60% down!) for just under two hundred bucks. More information over at Zappos!
