Banana Republic Quilted Satin Clutch

Let’s face it: when we are going out for an fancy evening on the town or just trying to dress up some, not only must we worry about our handbag to take along with us, but also the outfit we plan to wear. It eventually comes down to the fact that something has got to give. Preferably, I would not want it to be the bag, but then again outfits costs an armload. And if you need to have a budget for all of it to begin with, why not still be dressed chic? This is why I love Banana Republic. I was browsing there online store (which by the way has some totally to-die-for new items) and this Banana Republic Quilted Satin Clutch grabbed my attention for both the low price and the alluring style. Made with lustrous silk satin and quilted with metallic thread, this long clutch will grab anyone’s attention. Only adding more elegance is the distinctive prism clasp. The clutch is s stunning 4 1/4″ x 13″ x 1/2″. For a mere $48 at Banana Republic this clutch can not be passed up.

Make sure to shop around their store, I am in love with this Midnight vine strapless dress! I think I shall go buy it, even though I have no where to wear it to

Isabella Fiore “Bubbles” Large Baby Bag

So little Miss Fiore has not been my favorite lately. Some of her designs are cheaply appalling. But then I stumbled across this Isabella Fiore “Bubbles” Large Baby Bag and realized that I really really liked it. Just plain and simple, I like the bag. It’s a cute summer diaper bag that can show off a fun-side from the average black baby diaper bag. I know when I have kids, I will be sure to have different bags to tote around like a diaper is a fashion statement. Hey, it is! So for you mommies who want to prove to the world how much fun you can still have when being a new mom, I really suggest this bag. The bag measures 16.5″W x 10″H x 6″D and can be purchased through Adasa for $310.

Versace Large Corset Laced Show Bag

My mom is the “Leave it to Beaver” mother, she is Mrs. Cleaver. This is not a bad thing at all; I love my mom more than anything in world. When I was younger my mom used to try to teach me so many things she was so skilled at, and one of them was sewing. My mom actually used to make her clothes. I, very unlike my mom in this matter, buy my clothes. She always got annoyed to see price tags on things I bought and told me, “Why, I could have done that myself! You wouldn’t even know the difference.” Sad fact is she actually can. While I was interested in learning to sew and mend, I realized I was not skilled in that area. My stitching was always horrendous and I did not care to learn about the names of stitches, etc etc. I just wanted to buy my clothes.

After reading that lovely little story I am sure you wonder where I am going with it. Well I came across this designer bag that looks like something I would do. The Versace Large Corset Laced Show Bag made me think about craft projects I did when I was younger. You see my sewing was never very good, but my mom loved it and told me how proud she was of me. She saw it all for something totally different (I don’t understand that, my patchwork was just awful!). But I think I feel the same way about this Versace bag. While it may look like something we could all make, it is actually a beautiful piece of art. Featuring a lot of different beauty, the bag is adorned in suede, calf hair, lizard-stamped leather, and smooth leather. Showing off all the detail is polished gold metal hardware and racy corset lacing on the front. A really cool addition is the golden Medusa dangling off the front of the bag. The straps are a chunky gold metal chain strap with a leather shoulder piece which only adds more flare. The interior is lined with black silk and contains a patch pocket, zipped pocket, and golden Versace plaque. I love this bag because it manifests the beauty of black with exotic detailing and a plethora of luxurious materials. Add this alluring bag to your collection for $2,688 via eLuxury.

Zac Posen Raffia and Leather Studded Clutch

You know how you can see a bag, and then you can imagine what outfit it would look perfect with? I do it all the time. Somebody needs to tell my brain I am not an heiress to a multi-billion dollar corporation, I can not even afford my own thoughts. But I can share them with you and see if any of you agree or think crazy thoughts like myself. I often find myself looking at a bag that is impractical. A bag that would only match a handful of outfits (that I probably do not even own). But when I get that image in my head, I’m done. It’s embedded in my memory and I want to nab that look. This is where my biggest problems come into play. Which of you do the same thing? (Somebody please speak up and make me think I’m not alone in this world!!)

So when I ran into this Zac Posen Raffia and Leather Studded Clutch my mind immediately began to think of the perfect outfit with it. I have it in my head perfectly. Too bad it’s only about one outfit I can think of. But nevertheless this bag is more practical than one would assume. A classic pair of jeans and a tee could be seen with this bag and all would be good! Made of beautiful blue leather and nude raffia, this curved clutch gives me something to smile about. The bag also shows off a metallic ‘Z’ design and silver studs, who doesn’t show studs now-a-days? Also the bag has red lining with blue stitching and silver studs in cut-out detail on front, plain cut-outs on back and a thin leather strap. The interior is lined in soft beige suede and contains an interior pocket. Just what the doctor ordered! I love a bag that is out of the ordinary, and this bag does it for me. Here comes what the doctor did not order, the rather exorbitant $690 price tag on Net-A-Porter. I guess this leaves me with my perfect mental image of myself with the bag for now…

Emilio Pucci Niger Corduroy Small Messenger

If youГў€™re Pucci and you know it, clap your hands! Humm… a little more silence than expected. Somewhat like our blog over the weekend. I promise, at some point a girl has got to quit traveling, and I am possibly planning on it. Actually thats a lie. But I promise to make up for the slight lack in posts lately with some fun reads during this week. So I want to start off with the Emilio Pucci Niger Corduroy Small Messenger. Yes, I know the title is long, but I can not help it. Pucci bags usually are a bit far out with lotsa color and pattern to them, but now I am feeling this messenger bag is a bit over the edge. Emilio, Emilio, no, no, no. We are all well aware of what your signature print pattern looks like. You did not need to brand your name in huge print all over the bag. But you did. The only reason I can see this bag being a little more stylish with its name branding is because not the entire rest of the world knows about Pucci. Yay for that.

The bag is like many other Pucci print bags, but it does feature a flap closure with “PUCCI” cut out of leather trim. I wonder if they used an exacto knife for that. I loved those things. Back to the bag, it shows off Niger print corduroy with smooth chocolate leather trim and a long shoulder strap for cross-body wearing. A low point for me is the size. Being only 9.5″ x 11.5″ makes it look more like a tourist camera bag than anything else. The inside is lined with a purple-pink textile logo and contains a zipped pocket and a cell phone pocket. I don’t know if it is the heat or what, but this bag just isn’t doing it for me today, and especially not for

Burberry Flat Portrait Tote

If I didn’t know better, I’d think the US National Treasury melted a few gold bars from Fort Knox and handed them to Burberry to mold this wonderfully shining piece of bag! Ain’t it pretty? The large Burberry Flat Portrait Tote bag features long double shoulder straps and a magnetic snap closure, while goldtone ring and stud detailing add even more shiny to the shine. The inside is lined in cotton and holds and inside zipper and a celly pocket.

Of course made in Italy, the 14″ X 14″ X 1″ tote goes for just under 600 bucks. [Saks Fifth]

Gucci Log Carrier

I do not know what we would do without sales!!! And a sale from Gucci nonetheless. Here is the clincher. It’s for a totally off the wall product. Think hard about what you would associate Gucci with. I will give you 5 seconds… 5…. 4…. 3…. 2…. 1. Now tell me if what you thought of was the Gucci Log Carrier. If you answered no, you are totally normal like the rest of us. If you actually said, “Why yes Megs! That is exactly what I was thinking of!” well then you are really way too cool for me. I’m just really wondering who would want to carry hunks of dirty wood in a log carrier made by Gucci. What astonishes me even more is the mental picture of people carrying wood, dirty insect-filled wood, to their fireplaces in a Gucci log carrier. But like I always say — whatever floats your boat. If you have the money and Gucci is your style, then why not? The log carrier is 33.5 x 21.5 inches so it can fit most of your log needs (haha… still laughing). The outside is made of brown/black laser GG logo with black leather trim and suede interior. Ok, wow. Who needs to let their logs touch suede?? Well if I have not sold you on this ‘bag’ yet, here comes the clincher. Marked down from $1350 the suede wood carrier is now only $539 at Gucci.
