T-Bags Small Shoulder Bag in White

Word on the street is that you can never go wrong with a little white bag. For many and most occasions, white bags may make the cut off. Either that, or I have pulled some huge fashion DONГў€™TS. I’d love to pretend that I am correct in my assumptions, but hey- I never claimed that I am perfect (just more perfect than Vlad

). I ran into a little white bag with a nice little markdown price. The T-Bags Small Shoulder Bag in White could be used for many different occasions and even translate from day into night. The small shoulder bag is not as small as you may think- it sure has the potential to carry much of your favorite little things (12″ long x 6″ tall x 3″ wide). To add a little flavor to the supple leather outside, the handles on this bag are braided which add some shape and flavor. There is also brass hardware to help make all the perks of the bag stand out. Probably my favorite part of this little one is the “cute heart cut-out on the side with yellow snakeskin to fill it in”. You can’t see that in the picture- but I am going to think that this company will not falsely advertise their goods- hence I will believe this little addition and keep calling it my favorite part of the bag (even though I can’t see it- it sounds so cute!). Lined in blue suede, the inside of the bag also sports a slip pocket. Marked down from an original $264, this bag is now only $140 via Pink Mascara.

Hype Nutmeg Glazed Pebble Leather Shoulder Bag

When I was younger, I thought it was really cool when I heard a price like $9.99, $76.54, or $33.33. Get the drift. There was some sort of mathematical pattern that appealed to my overly educated brain. (I guess that is what you call the small things in life that bring cheap pleasure). Luckily I have found a bag with a little mathematical pleasure that may also be appealing to the eyes.

The Hype Nutmeg Glazed Pebble Leather Shoulder Bag could easily be used as your everyday bag because of the color, material, and style. This bag is roomy enough to be carried for some heavy lugging- measuring approximately 14′’ wide X 8′’ tall X 4½’’ deep. Also the nutmeg color leather is easy to match with nearly any outfit if you aren’t into buying a new bag every week for every outfit, or like most of us (including myself), can’t afford it. The exterior looks pretty luscious to me, made of glazed pebble leather with gold-tone metal hardware accenting and contrast stitching. The bag closes with a magnetic leather strap which goes over the top of the bag along with a leather buckle strap across the front of the bag. When you open the bag up, there is tan printed paisley lining and of course an inside zipper pocket. This bag brought some joy to my eyes and my mathematical love for reoccurring numbers. For a quite reasonable $111 this bag is available via Bluefly.

Prada Buckle Hobo

If any of you are thinking that metallic is out, you are way wrong. It is everywhere. Metallics are still ‘in’. Have you gotten your metallic bag for the season? Personally, I have been eyeing quite a few but haven’t made a decision yet. But I figure it can’t hurt adding some more bags into the shiny mix. How about a Prada bag? The Prada Buckle Hobo adds a little zing and zang to the already huge list of metallic bags out there. I do love how Prada bags are made, yet sometimes I don’t think their prices are justified. Let’s play a little game (NO cheating!). I’m going to tell you all about this bag and leave out the price, then you guess how much it is (a little like what the Bag Lady did yesterday!). Let’s see if any of you think this is justified.

The Prada Buckle Hobo is a beautiful nylon shoulder bag. This hobo also is trimmed in gold (not the real thing

) and has a grommeted buckle and a buckle detailed shoulder straps. It looks to me like the bulk of the bag is nylon, and the gold trim is leather. The only other extra this bag has in an inside zip pocket. The hobo is a good size- not too big and not too small: 8″H X 11¾”L X 7″W. So, how much do you think this bag is? Don’t go lookin’ it up, or else it is no fun!! I’ll post the link tomorrow along with the price!! Happy guessing

Toos Fringed Evening Bag

Well, it is quite nice for me to see that I am not the only person who has technical difficulties when it comes to technology. Apparently, so do the fine people behind BergdorfGoodman.com. While doing my daily search for bags, I ran into a beautiful evening bag. Catching, swanky, and showy I knew I had to write about it. But the picture for the bag is… nothing. It’s a half of a half. Damnit my hopes are down. Doesn’t mean I can’t write about this evening bag- the info stays the same and the picture is from the main page with some writing- but it will suffice.

The Toos Fringed Evening Bag is quite boisterous. I’m not sure if I could wear this bag, but I would sure love to try. Made of olive green silk satin with allover long fringe and a sequined body, this evening bag will make you the eye-candy of the night. The bag also shows off golden hardware and features a top handle with rings (7 4/5″ drop). Also, the framed top style adds a beautiful structured shape along with the faux-jeweled top clasp. On the inside you will find an inside pocket and full silk lining. Hopefully Bergdorf gets this picture straight before the bag comes in stock, which is estimated to be 11/07/2005. You can pre-order the bag if you’d like (luckily there is a picture to go off on the main page), or wait to see some better specs. This outlandish evening bag can be yours via Bergdorf Goodman for $1,475.

Coach Shearling Gallery Tote

You just had to do it, didn’t you Coach? You had to jump on the shearling bandwagon. Well, you are on it- might as well enjoy the ride. I’m going to have to hand it to Coach, because personally, I don’t think they did too bad of a job with this number. I actually really dig it. The Coach Shearling Gallery Tote makes me want to cuddle up next to the fire and sip on my Chai Tea Latte! Yum. Coach explains that “the detailing and design of this tote is reminiscent of bags that were popular among the ski set in the 1960Гў€™s and Гў€Лњ70Гў€™s”. I wasn’t aware of that fact at the time, but I’m just going to believe it. This gallery tote is actually quite chic. The outside shows off two front and side pockets with turnlock closures. Made of lightweight leather with shearling trim, this tote can bring winter fashion to your arm. The bag can be opened with its zip top which unveils fabric lining, a cellphone pocket, and a ring to clip keys or what have you. You can choose between brass/blue or brass/tobacco (my pick is for sure the blue!!) Measuring up at 11 7/8 (L) x 8 7/8 (H) x 4 3/8 (W), Coach is asking $598 for this furry thing.

Brahmin Rosemary

On with Viewer’s Choice Tuesday, we have a designer never spoken about here. Let’s all give a round of applause to Brahmin Leather Works! Hopefully we can all find something that meets our fancy on their site. Swetha, yet one more loyal reader and poster on the forum, would love for us to feature the Brahmin Rosemary Bag in Toasted Almond. Swetha said: “I was at Bloomingdales the other day and saw the bags there and positively loved the bags. The leather is absolutely gorgeous and it feels amazing. I really like the ROSEMARY design (esp. the tricolor) and the toasted almond.” The color of this bag is truly gorgeous, although the name is frightening. I suppose I am frightened because I am allergic to almonds, but the name is still clever. Actually, to me this bag strongly resembles the Alexander McQueen Novak , in a much more affordable form. This bag is actually a backpack with adjustable shoulder straps. There are also some pockets for anything you may need to store in there; cell phone pocket and two organizer pockets. The overall dimensions are 11 x 11.25 x 4.25. While I’m not looking for a backpack, possibly some of you ladies are! This bag is on sale via Brahmin for $290.

Michael Kors “Astor” Large Satchel

I’m not sure if I could have said this better myself… Sadaf said, “In these times it is humbling to see celebrities like Heidi Klum carrying a under $300 bag from Michael by Michael Kors (okay, barely under $300 but at least you don’t need to be on a waiting list to get the bag). She had the color “leather luggage” and was using it as a combo diaper bag. Cute bag don’t you think?” I do love when bags are being carried because they are beautiful and versatile and not just because a celeb is carrying them. I think many of you will agree with this. The Michael Kors “Astor” Large Satchel is a beautiful bag fit for a star (with the not too shabby price tag). If you like to carry lots of your necessities (or not-so-necessities), this large satchel can help you tote your needs around town. Made of soft leather with beautifully seamed detail and nickel stud detail, Michael Kors brought in beauty with functionality. Some other features include a top two-way zip closure, and inside pockets; including inside zip, pouch and cell phone pockets. The dimensions are 14″ W x 10″ H x 5″ D, which makes this bag a pretty nice size. If any of you love this handbag just like Sadaf, head over to Macy*s and nab it for $298.

Fendi Mini Leather Bag

After a complete and total computer glitch (yup, I’ve been that lucky with technology lately), I’m back at it. Unfortunately this is what happens when Vlad leaves, I tend to over-estimate my computer ability and it comes to kick me in the behind- hence I am behind on Viewer’s Choice Monday! Since I’m a day late, this week will all move behind a day. Whew. So to kick of the start of Viewer’s Choice Tuesday our loyal reader, Zoesmom, has submitted this atrocity from Fendi. I was quite glad to see that she also despises this bag. I don’t know what Fendi was thinking. After having a huge hit in the Spy Bag, they have proceeded to fall down hill with their “designs”. The Fendi Mini Leather Bag makes me want to mini gag. What is this thing?!?! Actually, to put it in the words of Zoesmom: “I found that horror at Saks and is probably one of the ugliest bags I have ever seen. Where exactly do you wear a white rabbit fur and faux pearl trim purse??? And for $1290 shouldn’t the pearls be real?” I couldn’t agree with you more! This leather bag has a double top handle and rabbit fur detailing around the top. Ehmm- ok?? Then we find the not-so real faux pearl accents. Why would you do that for a Fendi bag that is going for over a grand? Bad idea Fendi, bad bad idea. Other thingies this bag has is nickel hardware, a detachable chain shoulder strap, a frame top shape, and satin lining. Measuring in at 6¾”H X 6½”L X 3½”W, this bag is not worth it’s $1290 ticket price (via Saks).

This bag closely resembles its sister, the Fendi Bag It Mini, which is just as fugly. These are the two ugly ducklings

Violette Nozieres Banana Adele

It’s time for Viewer’s Choice Mundays! While Megs is a little inhibited (taken that her wireless internet connection went down the drain last night), I’ll be plugging the VCM delight in a trimmed down version (I am not sure about the submissions she got via email). Time to go B-A-N-A-N-A-S!

Behind the odd name Violette Nozieres Banana Adele hides a bag that does not need to hide. Our reader chemlex recently found herself indulged in Violette Nozieres handbags and decided to share the love with us. While I don’t know a thing about Violette Nozieres, fact remains that they make “day into evening” bags that allow one to carry enough neccessities during the day, but still look glamorous during the night time. How much I love flexibility and versatility. This particular bag is an east/west satchel handbag made of vacchetta leather with Italian crackle metallic lambskin trim. It sports dual shoulder straps and an antique brass chain and hardware, whose bead and stone decor consists of natural amethysts, citrines, new jade, agate, riverstones, amazonites and dyed shells. Fancy! The bag measures 17 1/2″ wide x 4 1/2″ deep x 7 3/4″ high and is now on sale (60% down!) for just under two hundred bucks. More information over at Zappos!
