Bulga Leather Satchel

There has been some interest shown in the new Bulga bag over on the forum (if you haven’t joined yet, you still have time! It’s free and easy and lots of fun!!). Before I could find my way to posting about the bag, some lovely members on the forum began discussing it. I had been eyeballing the bag for a little while, so it is about time I let all of you in on Bulga’s new little secret. The gorgeous Bulga Leather Satchel may leave many of you swooning and some of you adding the bag to your wish list (it’s on mine, but my wish list is unrealistically long). Designed from beautiful oyster colored leather and accented with golden hardware, this bag is an attention grabber. My favorite part is the shape. New and different shapes always make you look twice- and this bag has made me look about 124 times already. The body of the bag is pieced; the outer panel is rushed with studs, while the inner panel shows off topstitched detail. There are top handles with rings that attach to the body of the bag and a zip-around top closure with a cute tassel pull tab. This is a bag that I suspect will cause quite a stir with all of you handbag lovers. Jump on the pre-order list via Neiman Marcus for $595. (Not too awful of a price and the bag is expected to ship by 11/22/2005

Jimmy Choo Suede Slouchy Bag

Some combinations of materials are quite alluring. One of my favorites is suede and leather. There is something about the soft suede intertwined with smooth leather that I find totally sexy on a bag. Jimmy Choo has not only made me lust for shoes and wish I won the lotto, but now has decided to turn me to lusting for his bags. I just can’t afford you Jimmy! The Jimmy Choo Suede Slouchy Bag is made of the most supple tangerine suede and leather in a curvy and slouchy shoulder style bag. Somewhat resembling a messenger bag, this bag is complete with a full front flap and buckle detail. There are also side pockets with buckle snaps and the bag is closed with its snap tab buckle-lock closure. The tangerine color is perfectly accented with grommet detail with beautiful silver metal hardware. The inside of the bag has both open and zip pockets and suede lining. Overall dimensions are 7½”H X 14″L X 6″W. This slouchy beauty can be purchased via Saks for $990.

Alexander McQueen Large Pompom Shoulder Bag

You know the saying “stop while you’re ahead”? Well, sometimes I think that should even go as far as to apply to the world of handbag designers. If you have created something so desirable, that people are actually still yearning for, don’t go and release a total flop of a bag. You all know Alexander McQueen for his Novak bag- that bag that we all love but probably can not get our hands on. Now, let me introduce you to the Alexander McQueen that we should all run and hide from. Now, I know some of you did like the Isabelle Fiore Knit bag, and if you can rock it- more power to you, but this bag is in a league of its own I think. The Alexander McQueen Large Pompom Shoulder Bag is more than enough that these eyes can handle in one hugely oversized bag. Made of multi-colored Navajo style knit and bobbing around about 20 too many pompoms, this bag is over the top. Not to mention, the bottom of the bag is flooded with beige tassel trim. Seriously, I don’t feel it- not at all. The shoulder straps are made of green leather and the inside of the bag is lined in suede and has a zip pocket. Let me turn your attention (how could you miss it), to the ginormous size. When I mean large, I mean it looks like this bag is eating part of this mannequin’s body. The depth is 3.5″, height is a whopping 14″, and the width is an even bigger 18″. I feel like Mr. McQueen himself will not live this bag down, but that is just my opinion. If you think you can work this bag like it’s nobody’s business (especially not mine), buy it through Net-A-Porter for $1480.
