How do you like your totes? Are you someone who prefers it longer or taller? My preference is for a longer tote, but sometimes a taller tote catches my eye and is also appealing. One of the taller totes that has my attention is the Mulberry Elgin Tote. Mulberry has made its way into many of our hearts and hands and this tote is simple but fashionable with its brass buckles and buckle strap closures. The tote is designed from soft pebble leather and is shown off by contrast stitching. For carrying, there are two shoulder straps with a 71вЃ„4″ drop which should be ample room to fit under the arm. Measuring 131вЃ„4″H X 12″L X 53вЃ„4″W , this tote shows that its height and length are not hugely different, but from an outsiders eye the dimensions seem to be much easier to differentiate. I recently read that the handbag industry is booming. Well duh, I could have told you that. But along with a booming industry comes skyrocketing prices. Sometimes it becomes overwhelming. Personally, I can’t afford this industry all the time. I’d love to buy every bag that I love, but I unfortunately did not win the lotto last night, so this option is not feasible. What is feasible is a practical wristlet that is in a totally affordable range. The Marc by Marc Jacobs Eyelet Leather Wristlet is small, cute, and affordable. Do you remember being dressed in ribbons and bows? I know it was the mom thing to do to her daughter. There was a time in the 80’s when big bows were in style. That was then. Now bows come and go but are not a huge trend. While the big bow is not always my thing, I have fallen head over heels in love with this Be & D Python Clutch. All of you may recall that I adore clutches and I am one of ‘those’ python loving girls. This clutch is impeccably made with rich and bold crimson python and has a front flap with an oversized bow. This bow is over the top and is very large, but there is nothing more I would like to hold in my hand than this lovely clutch right now. I’m not going to lie to you all. While the Novak made a huge impact on the fashion world, I was a bit hesitant to know if I really loved the bag at first. It was hard for me to come into my own opinion when everyone else and every fashionable being/magazine that I knew was raving about the bag. After letting it set in some time, I have fallen in love. The shape is so unique that I am completely enamored. Even more so than before, the Alexander McQueen Woven Novak Satchel has caught my attention with its defining beauty. Designed from cognac woven and smooth leather and accented with golden hardware, the shape and textured style of this bag combine to form an impeccable duo. At the top, the satchel has top handles with rings and closes with a leather pull tab and zip top closure. On the beautifully made front there is a front strap with a turn-lock closure and a center ring detail. Overall the satchel measures 17 3/5″H x 14 2/5″W x 3 1/5″D and I can’t seem to get enough of it. Pre-order this cognac piece of magic through Neiman Marcus for $1460.

While so many of you are not fans of the Spy, me and my beloved Spy would like to introduce those of you who are Spy lovers to the newest editions to the family. Meet the Denim spy Family. While they are nothing like the leather Spy’s, they have a little bit of blue jean beauty to them. One of them I can see myself liking to wear here and there the other I only see myself really liking because the price is about $500 cheaper than what I paid. While Bergdorf placed these two items together on their own, I couldn’t see a better match. I have grown a new appreciate for shoe and bag combos and this combo sits quite well with me. If you are in on the trend of spring, that being white, then this bag and lacy shoe duo may leave you trying to scrap together $2080. Ouch. But still gorgeous. First let us give our attention to the beautiful Armani bag. The Giorgio Armani Croc-Embossed Tote implements the use of an exotic embossed material along with the spring white trend. Lately I have been indulging in my shoe fetish. I always felt a bit awkward buying shoes because I wear a size 10 and I have this preconceived notion that 8 is the perfect size. That was then, now I am embracing my feet, which do perfectly match my height and indulging myself in beautiful shoes. When I picture a pair of lacy shoes, the Giorgio Armani Embellished Satin Halter fit the mold quite nicely. When I see fringe bags, I am reminded of fun houses and door-way-beads. Always fun to run through but somewhat annoying after a while. I actually could see a fringe bag getting knotted up after a while and just start to itch and tickle me. Nevertheless you can read between the lines to see that I am not fond of the Versace Couture Fringes Extra Large Hobo. While the buttery-soft and supple Italian Nappa leather does look divine, the 10″ leather fringe surrounding sides and base of bag make me want to grab a pair of scissors and cut each and every fringe off by hand. The rest of the additions to this bag are hard for me to focus on because I can not get my eyes off the fringe. But if you are a lover of fringe or just trying to get to know a little more about this bag there is polished gold metal hardware, a vertical side pocket, rolled leather shoulder strap, over-the-top corset lacing with braided leather laces, and satin interior. Versace has made some bags that are alluring and chic, but measuring in at 19″ x 12″ x 4″ this bag is way more fringe than I could ever want or like. I can’t deny the fact that I am a huge huge huge denim fan. It is actually kind of shameful how many pair of jeans I have bought recently. Shameful because I really don’t need them and they aren’t making my wallet that happy. But you better believe my legs and tooshie appreciate these denim beauties

When I think of Spring, velvet is not one of the first things that comes to mind. But that doesn’t stop me from loving this bag. The Bottega Veneta Velvet Shoulder Bag shows off a bit of a Western vibe with its metallic leather trim along with lush Blush velvet. Perfectly cute for a dress or jeans, the bag shows off a silver flower chain handle. I keep seeing westernized themes popping up and while some of them are not my style, some of them do catch my eye and leave me feeling a little more Southern than usual. On the handle there is yellow leather trim and both sides of the bag show off a plaited leather design. On the inside, Bottega gives you lush blue suede and an internal pocket. If you have been wondering what gives on the lack of posting this week, I apologize now because it was my busy life taking away from what I really love to do. Having other things to do then writing about bags just bothers me more than you know. Who really wants to work? Not I! So after a short absence, I am back and even have a nice vacation planned starting tomorrow. Be jealous, be very jealous. Hopefully while on vacation I can even pick up a new bag or two or 586,904. More like one, and that is if I am *very* lucky.

If I had my choice of one new bag, I may be looking for an over-sized tote. The Carlos Falchi Super Shopping Tote is designed from smooth Italian leather along with exotic snakeskin and crocodile. The snakeskin comes together for the shoulder strap and there is an alluring crocodile flap closure with discreet magnet closure. Along with the supple leather, these two exotics show off the bag beautifully. Inside to add a little feminine fun there is satin floral lining and a zipped pocket. Overall this big bag measures 19″ x 19″ x 6″. I like how it is different for a big black bag. Buy it through eLuxury for $1595.
