Some of you may be sick of hearing about the Spy, but alas there is a new Spy hobo for you to check out. Actually, while I am a huge Spy fan (I still love my honey!!) this bag makes me go cross-eyed. The Fendi Striped Denim Spy Hobo explodes my occipital lobe with blue-and-white striped denim. You know when there are those black/white or black/red pattern posters, fun houses, etc and you swear you get queasy just looking at it? Well that is how I feel about this bag (from the picture at least, maybe it person it is ok). The hobo is accented with a white woven leather shoulder strap with the Spy thorn-like knots and a thin leather braid which encircles the bag to hold the shape. What I like even less is the contrasting orange topstitching that is said to add a Western feel to a bag that I don’t think should be Western. Let’s just say this bag completely does not do it for me. On the inside you will find nothing other than matching striped denim lining with an interior patch pocket. Overall dimensions are 16″ x 10″ x 3.25″ and this eye-straining bag is available via eLuxury for $855.

Sometimes I am not sure if I need to be pinched to snap out of it with some of my bag selections. Ordinarily, I would not think that I’d like this bag, but today this bag has me. The Dolce & Gabbana Floral Frame Bag manifests the mixture of a black background floral canvas along with pebbled leather detailing to make an impeccable combination. Do you not agree? I wouldn’t be surprised if some of you did not agree with me, but for some reason my eyes keep staring and picturing this bag with so many outfits. Classy and sophisticated comes to mind when I picture myself carrying this bag (don’t even make me realize that I won’t actively be carrying any new bag anytime soon because I can’t afford it). Accenting the black leather detailing is silvertone hardware. I love the two front magnetic snap pockets. They are able to break up the floral print just enough to perfectly meet my taste. To close the bag there is a push-lock closure which leads way to an inside zip pocket and satin lining. Overall my new floral beauty measures 7″H X 11Вѕ”L X 5ВЅ”W and is available via Saks for $1375.

Every girl is supposed to love pink. Growing up I was not one of the little girls who enjoyed being pretty in pink. Today that is a different story. But there is a breaking point for me, and this bag is it. As much as I love pink and love the Audra, I do not love the combination of the two. The Isabella Fiore “Whip Flashback” Audra Hobo in Pink has been revamped from the original with supple Italian cowhide with a slight gold metallic pink marbling. I might even consider the bag if it were not looking glossy. The glossy finish looks cheap to me. As far as the studding goes, the brass studs from the original have been replaced and now the stud detailing is enameled the same color pink as the rest of the bag. I can’t say that using a different color hardware would be better, in fact it may be worse, but the pink enamel also does not do it for me. The rest of the hardware is brass and the inside is lined in cotton. Pink is a color that I use often in my wardrobe and the Audra is a bag I love, but this combo I will not be seeing anytime soon for myself. Buy it through Adasa for $450.

Why not venture to the world of other accessories today? Recently I have been indulging in a belt fetish. When I say indulging, I mean gawking over them but not actually buying and new ones. I have stolen a gorgeous belt from my mom though, which she is not happy about. It is funny how trends come in and out. This belt is from the 70’s she said, but it is completely chic and I love it. If you happen to have figured out how to turn on the computer mom, I’m sorry but I will not be returning your belt. On the search for a perfect big belt, I have my eye set on the Black & Brown London Chelsea Wide-Link Belt which is an oversized grained brown leather belt that shows off basket-weaving to create the dimension and shape. I am not sure what you all will think of it, but I love the look of a huge chunky belt with the perfect pair of jeans and a cute top. Finished off with a squared antiqued brass buckle, this belt may be huge and over the top, but I’d love to rock it out. Don’t even fool yourself though, this belt is not cheap. For me certain brands have their own signature bag. I always feel like having that signature bag can keep all of us from seeing their other bags, just because of the mere fact that we are really only aware of ‘their’ bag. As for Botkier, I felt like I kept seeing the same bag modeled again and again. But when I ran into this new look, I found it refreshing. The Botkier Bianca Large Satchel is intricately crafted from soft Italian cowhide. To add some dimension, the bag shows off two curved front pouch pockets that close with signature long tassel pulls. Straying away from a very structured look, this bag gives off a slouchy appearance which I love. Accenting the satchel is polished gold metal hardware. The shoulder straps are made from rolled leather with studs. Brining it all together is the front flap with a Botkier twist-lock closure. While this bag does not scream out for attention, it did lure me in. The satchel is available in either black or dusty gold, and if I had my way I would opt for the dusty gold. The only reason I will cut this bag some slack is because it is clearly a beach bag. I may sound totally hypocritical or just plain stupid, but I hate the look of plastic for a bag. Yes, I do sound stupid because I know this bag is a designated beach bag. Welcome the soon to come warm summer with some sun and the Juicy Couture ESG Beach Colony Tote. This bag just seems so cheap looking to me. Again, I know it is made with vinyl for a reason, but I don’t think this is the best beach bag I’ve seen. Although it is meant for the beach, there is grained leather trim with rolled shoulder straps which may get a bit tarnished with water getting on them. To add some color for the summer, the rainbow Juicy label is strategically placed on the front of the bag along with a palm tree leather cutout with crystal coconuts. I don’t know why, but I just can not get into this bag- beach bag or not. The part that I do like is the Love Surf Juicy cotton towel that is included. Who wouldn’t mind having a Juicy beach towel? Kinda cute. Overall this bag measures 15″ x 10″ x 6″. What do you think of it for a beach bag? Now available via eLuxury for $145.

For some reason I have been stuck on practical bags lately. Probably because I really do need one myself. I have bags that I love and they are big, small, medium, tall, but I don’t have a completely practical everyday bag. So let the everyday bags start rolling. The Theory Park Roll Leather Bag is made with pebbled leather with stud and buckle detail. Simplicity is found in the double top handle with an optional shoulder strap. This makes the bag versatile for carrying, which really is a plus if you are looking to use this as a messenger. This bag features a zip top closure, two magnetic snap pockets, an interior pocket, and canvas lining. I don’t find this bag anything out of the ordinary, but it looks durable and practical for everyday. Measuring 8Вј”H X 12Вј”L X 5″W, this bag may be big enough for your everyday bag to get some wear and tear. Buy it through Saks for $445.

When it comes to this tote, the Luella Stevie looks like it could be the legitimate love child of the Luella Daria and the Luella Gisele, as design features of both can be made out in Luella’s new tote creation. Measuring in at 9 by 13 by 6.25 inches, this tote is not even that large in size, but it does make a huge stand, at least in my eyes - I really like it. The Stevie is made of pebbled leather with goldtone hardware and has hanging heart and anchor ornaments, a feature that most Luella bags are well known for. Few golden/bronze stud and ring accepts round off the bag nicely. Nice and long double handles give it a good fit around the shoulder, a turn-lock closure keeps the flap where it belongs. The inside is held in suede lining and carries a zipper and several open pockets for easy storage of all your womanly items. At a price of just over $1,000 (via Saks Fifth Ave - on pre-order status as of today), this beauty isn’t even too pricey, compared to the direct competition.

The Burberry Leather Pocket Shoulder Bag manifests itself in divine beauty and simplicity.
