Keira Knightly Anya Hindmarch “I’m not a plastic bag”

Everyone is on the environmental train lately, which I am loving. Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” made its way to the masses, hybrid car sales are on the rise, organic food and clothing is catching on, and now handbags are making an environmental statement. Keira Knightly may be laying off the meat, cheese, and carbs, but is also laying off leather bags by sporting the Anya Hindmarch “I’m not a plastic bag” tote from the environmental line of handbags. This tote bag is merely made of cotton and merely costs a scanty 5.00, but you better believe it is on eBay going for as much as $150 USD. Tell me how that makes sense! I suppose it is the story of supply an demand, and who will argue that a bag for the environmental cause is on high demand. Keep checking Anya Hindmarch for updates on the “I’m not a plastic Bag”.

Karl and Courtney: Flippin’ Mad and Flippin’ Crazy

Sure Courtney Love has an image that is a bit dodgy from rehab stints to a bit of a fashion disaster to public intoxication to wearing blue eye shadow as if it really is cool, but now she is under Crazy Karl’s radar. Seems that while attending Paris Hilton’s birthday party in Vegas this past weekend, Courtney showed up in a Chanel No. 20 fake from the Spring-Summer 2007 show. Gasp! I’d love to see Karl vs Courtney in Celebrity Deathmatch.

Karl Lagerfeld is said to be furious with Courtney Love reports WWD

According to fashion gossips, while scrolling through party photos on the Internet, Chanel officials spotted Courtney Love at Paris Hilton’s birthday party in Los Angeles on Saturday wearing a bib-front dress resembling the house’s look No. 20 from the January Spring-Summer 2007 couture show and styled in a similar way, right down to the fluffy, fingerless gloves writes WWD

Chanel is concerned clients might mistake the fake for the real thing. A spokeswoman said Chanel was investigating the matter before deciding what action, if any, it will take..

“It was one of many dresses sent to her by stylists and publicists to wear. It did not have a label in it,” her rep, Alan Nierob, told Page Six. “We haven’t figured out yet which stylist and/or publicist sent that particular dress.”

Chloe Square Silverado Tote

Like I mentioned the other day, Chloe is always re-designing their well known handbags. I have not heard much from the Silverado end of the Chloe spectrum in a while, but there is a new little rendition in town hoping to make mama Silverado happy. The Chloe Square Silverado Tote brings back the signature oversized stitching in the handles that run down the body of the bag. Choose from either the fox (tan) square leather tote offset with brown lace-style trim or the putty (off-white) tote with dark metallic stitching detail and white hardware. Laid back for a fairly varying price tag: Tan for $2365 via Net a Porter; and the Putty for $1780 via Net-A-Porter.
