Hogan Pleated Media Tote

While I am not a huge fan of the blue rendition of this bag, the ivory version is subtle, sleek, and gets the job done. The Hogan Pleated Media Tote does not get me super excited or even make me want to buy it, but for the practical and simple gal, this tote could be perfect. Simple additions, like brown leather trim, gold tone hardware, and a pleated drawstring top make this handbag wearable. There is a front zip and side open pockets for quick access. Dimensions are 13″H x 15″W x 5″D. Judge for yourself if this bag is a viable option for you; for me it does not make me feel either overly joyous or make me gag. I am just sitting in the moderate middle staring at the zoom-in-window and saying, “Hum, sure, whatever”. Through Bergdorf Goodman for $895.

Samsonite Black Label by Alexander McQueen

picture via Ny Mag

There are some people who are home bodies and some people who can not sit still. I definitely fall into the latter category, I can not keep myself in one place for an extended amount of time. From New York to Ohio to Florida to vacations around the world, I am always on the move. Granted some of my trips leave me with a broken arm, but I can’t stop. This month I am off to Spain and Italy and then in May off to California. Personally, I never cared much for nicer luggage. Give me a bag that works and a bag that i can spot on the belt and I am satisfied. But the Samsonite Black Label by Alexander McQueen is the most bold line created by a quirky and outrageous designer along with Samsonite, a brand that is well known for its durable travel gear. Don’t expect a plain black bag from this creation, check out a roll-on with a skeleton like body and sleek and edgy designs. For more information, check out Samsonsite Black Label.

Tokidoki for LeSportsac ‘Ciao Ciao Large’ Flap Bag

Garnering more and more attention, Tokidoki for LeSportsac has not be in a downer in any way. The designs are quirky, colorful, fun, and practical and the buzz surrounding these bags is getting as loud as a swarm of killer bees (friendly-killer-handbag-obsessed bees, but bees nonetheless). For the gals who want to make a statement, do it with an everyday messenger bag like the Tokidoki for LeSportsac ‘Ciao Ciao Large’ Flap Bag. The materials are simple, including an adjustable strap, zip pockets, and polyester, yet the ‘pirata’ print has got it all. Affordable funk through Nordstrom’s for $160.

Jimmy Choo Ruse Leather Messenger Bag

There is something about the thick shoulder strap on this bag that really has me fixated. I can vividly picture this handbag fitting perfectly but not too snug under my arm, having the shoulder strap not always feel like it may fall off my arm, and looking classy and sassy for everyday life. The Jimmy Choo Ruse Leather Messenger Bag screams take me to drop off the kids, take me to the grocery store, take me to the bank, take me shopping, take me in jeans; pretty much, just take me everywhere. A worn in appeal is given to the tan leather, along with watersnake trim and rivets around the top with watersnake straps. A subtly perfect combination of laid-back leather meets exotic watersnake to make a stunning combination. People tend to disregard inside lining, but it does play an importance to me. Nothing is better than opening up your stunning handbag to an even more stunning lining. Jimmy Choo, you made a good decision with the lilac trim and suede lining. My heart skipped a mini-beat. Via Net-A-Porter for $1690.

Miu Miu Antiqued Leather Handbag

First glance, I thought this bag was a great shape. Slouchy leather, with a detachable shoulder strap makes a perfect messenger bag, right? Wrong. Vlad looks at this bag and says “Is it uni-sex?”. There lies the problem. The Miu Miu Antiqued Leather Handbag is a perfect shaped everyday messenger bag but is manly and burly. Look like a man on a mission to go do something manly, say chug a beer, not shave your beard, walk in 4 inches of mud and not care, or get smashed watching football if you carry this bag. The mere fact that Vlad thinks he could carry it too turns me away from its brown antiqued leather. Hand-held or across the body this bag screams out masculine, and unless that is what you are going for, I wouldn’t spend a penny on it. Buy it through Net A Porter for $1385 for a man.

Henry Beguelin Crocodile Doctor Handbag

Although I have what I consider an amazing handbag collection, a luxe croc piece is still missing (but will soon be purchased, I am sure

). In my dream world (come on, get your feet wet and step into it with me), my first croc purchase would be a Hermes Croc Kelly Clutch, which is so unbelievably drool worthy you can not even imagine. But that is merely my dream world, and right now we need to step back into reality. The reality world that tells me my bank account would seriously turn its back on me if I were to buy that bag. But to find a luxe piece does not mean you need to spend thousands upon thousands. We have talked about the stunning colors and beauty behind Nancy Gonzalez exotics before and now we will talk about the beauty behind Henry Beguelin. Admire the Henry Beguelin Crocodile Doctor Handbag with me. Luscious brown crocodile offset with cream stitching combine to make this doctor bag an impeccable option. There is a shoulder strap along with top handles, a zip top closure, and the Henry Beguelin signature stick figure on the front. While not super cheap, it is quite affordable as far as exotics go: Pre-order via Neiman Marcus for $1438.

Jessica Simpson Christian Louboutin Satin Evening Bag

To make life fair, I must now post a picture of Jessica Simpson and talk about her handbag style since I did about her sister (ok that is not how the world works typically). But I could not pass up this gorgeous green clutch that Miss Jessica has been seen sporting around the world with. Jessica Simpson’s Christian Louboutin Satin Evening Bag manifests its beauty and grace in a delightful color that stands out perfectly with her new chocolaty brown locks. One of the hit colors for spring, this emerald green satin clutch features a feminine bow detail and a fold over closure. Thumbs up Jessica!

Bumble Bags Pink Paisley Kimberly Diaper Bag

Seems like many women on the Purse Forum and many women I know are pregnant right now or have a brand new little bundle of joy already (congrats LucciBag on her new mini!!)! The perfect diaper bag is a must have and there is a way to look fashionable and still be practical. The Bumble Bags do just that, implement chic momma style with practical pockets, easy cleaning, changing pad, and every other add on that is a necessity for a baby. The feminine pink paisley print on the Bumble Bags Kimberly Diaper Bag enchants the eye while the practical stain resistance, water resistant lining, zipper pockets, bottle pockets, and changing pad, add everything imaginable for your tot. When traveling with your baby, you need a bag that accommodates all needs, but also appeals the eye. Measurements are 17.5″L x 13″H x 6 “W. For a little girl, I love the pink paisley, but there are numerous other options. $128 via Diaper Bags.

Edit: Ashley Olsen Style

Image via LJ

Well, looks like I made a HUGE mistake when it comes to handbag fashion; I misnamed a bag!!

Totally my bad for not looking into it further, I just assumed I had the right information, and we all know that when we assume we make an ass of ourselves. The proper identification for the lovely bag Ashley is sporting is the Givenchy Nightingale (as pictured better above). This stunning bag is available in black, gold (stunning!), or marron. Similar to the reported Rive Gauche but so different, the bag does also have a detachable shoulder strap and two handles. Via Barneys for $1895. Thanks to those who commented to correct me and bring me back to par, looks like I need to think with my eyes open from now on!

Ashley Olsen Style

Image via FabSugar

If you are going to mirror your fashion after an Olsen twin, by all means pick Ashley Olsen. Mary Kate looks like a train wreck most of the time and although Ashley’s style manifests some deep rooted anger at times (kidding!) it is totally wearable. Take this laid back outfit for example; a frilly white blouse, peek-a-boo lacy bra, studded belt, skinny black jeans, ballet flats, and of course, an unbelievably hot everyday handbag. Wearable, just like I said. Being toted in Ashley’s arm is the stunning Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Bag. I have nothing but love for this bag, which can be worn across your body or on your arm and features a chic turn lock closure. Check out the bag via Neiman Marcus for $1795 and the rest of Ashley’s style breakdown Via FabSugar.
