Faster than a Speeding Bullet

Every time we pass another quarter, the world is abuzz with all sorts of stats and numbers, and the world of VOIP is no exception. AT&T and BellSouth customers that use broadband have been choosing higher speeds lately for their connections. Forty-two percent of the DSL lines from AT&T are now faster than 1.5 Mb/s, which is an increase of about 22% from this time last year. And it’s the same story with AT&T, with 31% of their subscribers opting for 3 Mb/s connections or higher, an incline of 16% since last year. So even though they’re not surpassing the subscriber numbers of cable companies, at least the base that they do have appreciates the fast speeds available. Baby steps for the Bells, baby steps.
